Join us in Mendoza for an unforgettable experience centered on the legendary Catena family and their pioneering work in high-altitude viticulture. Over five days, you’ll explore iconic vineyards, participate in hands-on blending sessions, and deepen your understanding of Malbec’s evolution and Argentina’s dynamic wine culture. Along the way, enjoy authentic asados, visit neighboring wineries, and engage in educational sessions that reveal why Argentine wines shine both on the ground and in-flight. This is more than a trip—it’s a celebration of innovation, terroir, and tradition.

CAMP MALBEC SCHEDULE

Day 1 – Monday, September 28

• Arrival & Welcome Dinner
  Guests arrive in Mendoza and are picked up by driver. Last flight arrives at 4:30 PM.

• Gather for an evening welcome dinner hosted by Catena.

• Lodging at Catena Zapata family's country home, La Vendimia in Rivadavia.

Day 2 – Tuesday, September 29

• Adrianna Vineyard Experience

  • Morning: Tour the renowned high-altitude Adrianna Vineyard.

  • Afternoon: Traditional asado lunch among the vines.

  • High-altitude viticulture, Malbec’s evolution in Argentina, regional terroir, and why Argentine wines perform well in-flight. 

  • Evening: Relax and enjoy dinner at Angélica Cocina Maestra.

Day 3 – Wednesday, September 30

• Catena Winery & Innovation Day

  • Visit the iconic Pyramid Winery.

  • Interactive blending session.

  • Lunch at Pyramid winery.

  • Explore the Catena Institute of Wine

• Explore the Catena Institute of Wine. 

• Educational session on high-altitude viticulture, Malbec’s journey from France to Argentina, regional diversification, innovation versus tradition, exports, domestic trends, and market dynamics. 

• Transfer to Susana Balbo Winemaker’s House & Spa Suites. Check-in around 6:00 PM. 

• Dinner at Michelin-starred La VidA Restaurant

Day 4 – Thursday, October 1

• Neighboring Winery Tours

  • Breakfast.

  • Guided tour of the Susana Balbo winery and vineyard in Agrelo. 

    Susana Balbo Signature Brioso Blending Competition. Guests become winemakers for a day and create their own version of one of the winery’s signature red blends.

  • Lunch at Osadía de Crear, Susana Balbo’s Michelin Green Star restaurant. The lunch features seasonal, locally sourced ingredients with innovative culinary techniques. 

  • Exclusive wine tasting at Bodega Bressia one of Mendoza's most celebrated family-owned wineries, showcasing a portfolio of acclaimed, handcrafted wines. 

  • Enjoy a guided wine tasting at Piattelli Vineyards, featuring a special barrel tasting experience. Afterwards, savor a traditional Argentine asado dinner. 

Day 5 – Friday, October 2

• Departures
  Guests depart after breakfast.
