Airport Options: The three most convenient airports for Napa are listed below. All will require a rental car or car service for the final drive to Napa.

  • San Francisco (SFO): 65 miles (~1.5-2-hour drive to Napa depending on traffic). Offers the most nonstop flight options, but traffic to Napa can be heavy, especially during weekday afternoons.

  • Oakland (OAK): 75 miles (~1.5-2-hour drive to Napa depending on traffic). A good balance of flight availability and slightly easier airport access than SFO.

  • Sacramento (SMF): 60 miles (~1-1.5-hour drive time to Napa depending on traffic). Typically the easiest drive, smaller airport = less congestion, and straightforward route into Napa.

WHAT TO PACK

Napa Valley in early May typically brings mild, sunny days and cooler evenings, so we recommend dressing in layers. Aim for comfortable yet polished attire: trousers or tailored denim paired with jackets, blazers, cardigans, or sundresses are all great options.

Some activities will involve walking on uneven surfaces such as gravel or lawn areas. Comfortable, supportive footwear such as flats, sneakers, or low block heels is strongly recommended.
