A VINE Academy Event - Invitation Only
Hosted by Intervine

Discover, Learn, and Taste with Intervine

Join us for the second annual Passport to Vino industry education event, designed exclusively for our travel industry partners. This immersive experience is designed to provide peer-to-peer networking and thought-leadership opportunities, along with a deeper dive into the California wine industry - exploring how climate change, consumer demand, and trending varietals may shape your wine program choices in the future. Given the importance of Champagne & Sparkling wine in your programs, we are fortunate to host our educational sessions at the stunning Domaine Carneros Winery where they will educate us on methode champenoise and perhaps saber a bottle or two!

This 2-day event is complimented with curated tastings of both legacy and new discovery wines and visits to some of our favorite Napa Valley wineries and restaurants. We look forward to sharing this enriching experience with you!

📅 Date: May 6-8, 2026

EVENT AGENDA

This event is crafted for travel industry leaders who want more than a tasting - it’s an opportunity to deepen your understanding of wine through interactive educational sessions led by experts.

May 6, 2026

  • Arrivals and Welcome Event: We’ll kick off the event with an evening at Gundlach Bundschu Winery in Sonoma. Enjoy a relaxed walk-around tasting featuring rare international selections and local library wines, followed by a welcome dinner in a gorgeous outdoor setting.

  • Morning Programming, Tasting, and Tour: We begin the day at Domaine Carneros in Napa’s Carneros region for our VINE Academy Educational Event. Programming will highlight how champagne and sparkling wine are crafted, what makes these styles unique in the global market, and how sparkling wines can elevate your portfolio and guest experience.

We’re thrilled to welcome Steve Matthiasson, former Winemaker of the Year, who will share his insights on regenerative farming and sustainability in the wine industry and it’s impact on the travel channel. A guided facility tour, curated tasting, and hosted lunch will follow.

  • Afternoon Tasting and Tour: We’ll travel up-valley to HALL St. Helena for an afternoon tasting, hands-on blending session, and barrel sample tasting.

  • Winemaker Dinner: End the day with an exclusive winemaker dinner hosted by Ridge Vineyards.

May 8, 2026

  • Final Tour and Tasting: We close out this year’s event with a morning visit to Quintessa Winery, one of Napa Valley’s most iconic estates. Enjoy a guided tour and tasting experience that reflects the property’s biodynamic philosophy and singular terroir.
